LEGO honors Master Builder Dagny Holm with a special set

A new set was recently introduced that unfortunately for 2TTOYS will only be available through the LEGO store at LEGO House. But still, its introduction is worth mentioning!

This is the set 40503 Dagny Holm - Master Builder, which had been rumored for several months. If you happen to drop by the LEGO House in Billund, you can buy the new set! The 1068 parts cost a total of 599 Danish crowns, which is about 80 euros

Who is Dagny Holm?

Dagny Holm was born on May 18, 1916, the niece of LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen. She started her career at LEGO on her 19th birthday as part of a three-month internship. She lived in Copenhagen for the next 25 years, where she trained in classical sculpture. In 1961 she returned to Billund as a LEGO model builder. Due to her talent, she was given responsibility for all LEGO models at LEGOLAND Park in Billund, which opened in 1968. Dagny Holm retired at the age of 70. The master builder died on March 1, 2004.

Lego house

The new Dagny Holm LEGO House exclusive set shows the master builder at her design table. In the background you see a selection of several models for LEGOLAND Miniland next to a cupboard. The table can be adjusted in height using a mechanism. As a special tribute to Dagny Holm's services to Miniland, the model has been kept in the relevant Miniland scale. The set was designed by Stuart Harris and LEGO designer Markus Rollbühler.
